Bridging Family Planning Gaps Project in Migori and Kakamega County - January 2021 to May 2021

Bridging Family Planning Gaps project was designed to transform barriers to accessing health services on contraception by AGYW to enablers by addressing the problem systematically, thus, AGYW will not face undesirable healthcare provider attitudes, AYAN Kenya shared correct information through21 targeted outreaches thus end users will not use myths, rumors & misconceptions, negative traditional & religious beliefs about SRHR to make choices & finally they will have a wide choice of health facilities of choice to get family planning services and be empowered to fight societal stigma. Below were the key result areas:

  • 2217 AGYW reached in the 21 outreaches.
  • 214 AGYW successfully linked and received Family Planning Commodities
  • 10 AGYW supported to access PAC and CAC
  • 139 males engaged in conversations on bodily rights and reproductive rights choices for women.
