Mr. Caleb Owino
Caleb is a clinical, social and community health development specialist with more than ten years of experience in proposal development for resource mobilization, management and organization of health programs, grants management and strategy development, community organization, and coordination of service delivery as well as technical support in prevention, care and treatment and youth programs implementation in Kenya.
A holder of MSc Health Systems Management, BA Sociology with IT, Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery with multiple certificates in post graduate studies that lead to his expertise and experience. He significantly contributed to organizational capacity building and fundraising efforts for over 13 Key population (KP) led civil society organizations (CSOs) under the Key Population Investment Fund (KPIF) project while at Impact research development organization (IRDO) and is currently the Technical Advisor for the MOSAIC project at LVCT Health, a PEPFAR funded USAID HIV prevention project focusing on adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) among other vulnerable populations.
Caleb forms part of the Muyi Consulting Group, in the East Africa Study Circle, a consortium of nine international philanthropies and foundations, that support equality and human rights work for LGBTIQ+ persons and sex workers in East Africa, roster of experts and consultants with considerable experience and contextual sensitivity working in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Burundi, for consultancy work.
